Amuleto scored a strong victory at his first start today at the Gold Coast. Ridden by leading rider Daniel Griffin the son of the ill-fated Captain Sonador jumped well and did everything right to break his maiden. Daniel Griffin was impressed with the horse commenting that “he does everything right and will only improve by an increase in distance and race fitness as he did have a good blow on pulling up”. The win was special on two fronts for Guy Racing as Bryan purchased the horse as a yearling and it was the first starter for Aquis Farm since returning to their Gold Coast base. Bryan was thankful to Aquis Farm for trusting him with the horse given it had always showed ability when he had trained it in the past, “its great that the Aquis Team gave me the opportunity to train this horse from the coast and it’s pleasing to see Aquis Farm are finding the winners stall on a more regular basis as they have become a major player in not only the Queensland Industry but the overall Australian Racing Industry. Asked about the future plans for the horse Guy Racing confirmed that Amuleto will be stepped up in distance and put through his grades and hopefully pickup a Qtis race before the end of the season.
