Consistent galloper Vendidit showed that he could be in for a good preparation when he took out the DEMEX Class One Handicap over 1400 metres today at Aquis Park at the Gold Coast Turf Club. The gelding showed potential as a late Three Year Old but didn’t live up to expectations as a Four Year Old but with further maturity the son of Hinchinbrook may finally reach that early potential that he showed the stable.

Winning Co Trainer Bryan Guy was happy to see the horse win today for the group of owners which brought the horse on the stables advice “When the horse entered our stable he was originally owned by Orbis Bloodstock but when he didn’t reach the heights they wanted last prep he was put on the market and we brought him and syndicated him amongst existing and new clients to the stable. We gave him a couple of runs for the new ownership group and then we suggested to put him in the paddock and start fresh and that decision has paid instant dividends.”

Vendidit was ridden today by Noel Callow who gave a perfect ride to settle on the leaders back and push out at the right time to deliver a 10 out 10 ride “That was a good strong win as he had top weight and let down when I asked him to. I explained to Bryan that I think he still had a fair bit to offer and he might want to experiment with a gear change or two and if that finds a bit of improvement then they are going to have a bit of fun with him.”
