Sidero Star collected his second Qtis bonus from his last three starts with an impressive victory at the Gold Coast today. Stepping up to the 1800 meters for the first time proved no challenge for the son of Siderus who strode away to a five-length victory. Winning rider Daniel Griffin could find nothing but praise for the horse and predicted many more wins over ground with the horse. Co trainer Bryan Guy said after the event “Both Daniel and I had concerns about the 1800 meters purely because of his breeding because when you look at it he should only go 1000m but he doesn’t know that and it looks like he will go further then todays distance given the ease in which he won.

Daniel Guy was thankful to Gil and Marie Neilan who own Sidero Star saying “its rare that you see such loyalty in racing these days and its great to continue what has been a long partnership between the Neilan’s and the stable and by the way this horse keeps improving we might be in for many more victory’s yet”
