Amata scored an impressive win at the Gold Coast today coming from well back in the field to finish strongly to score by a length. The daughter of Show A Heart has now won three races from her last five starts all for rider Luke Rolls who again rode the perfect race judging his run to perfection. Upon pulling up jockey Rolls commented to the connections “that was her best win today given she has never performed as well over 1400 metres but today she was strong”. Co trainer Bryan Guy was full of praise for Rolls saying “it was a great ride and the mare goes for Luke and if he keeps winning on her we won’t complain”
Amata is owned by long term clients Amalgamated Milk Services Pty Ltd who have added another winner to their 50 plus year relationship with the stable. Co trainer Daniel Guy said after today’s win “it’s always nice to win a race but to win another one for Jim and Betty is great they deserve all the wins they get”. Amata is also owned by Bryan’s wife Kerry with Bryan stating this is the perfect way to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary this weekend.
