Watched scored her second victory today at Ipswich with a strong staying performance. The daughter of Teofilo proved to be the superior stayer coming from off the speed to hit the lead at the top of the straight and then hold off her rivals to score by just under half a length. Co trainer Bryan Guy was pleased after the event saying “I was a little unsure if she would see out the distance but both Paul Hammersley and today’s jockey Jim Byrne having been telling us for some time that she needed more ground but we just had to wait for the right race to try her. “ Jim Byrne was pleased with the mares performance saying “she is a little trier and if Bryan and Daniel can keep her to the same distance and a similar class I think she still has a few more wins in her yet.”

Watched is raced by Kerry Guy the wife of Bryan and the mother of Daniel along with long time stable client Amalgamated Milk Services Pty Ltd Syndicate which is headed by Jim Forsyth who has raced three generations of Watched’s family with the best out of the family being honest stayers Motivate who was placed in three Ipswich Cups, Master Raider who won a Port Macquarie Cup and handy sprinter Masai Pride who won a Magic Millions Cup.
